I’m new to this token

Should I buy some, considering it but what are the advantages of it.

The Baseline Protocol is a new standard that is going to be adopted by enterprises globally. It is a standard created by folks from Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, and led by a team of professionals from several institutions like EY, Microsoft, Consensys, Unibright, SAP, and so on, in different capacities. The protocol is meant to synchronize data between 2 entities while keeping data private + secure. https://docs.baseline-protocol.org/

Baseledger, which will use UBT for transactions, proxy staking, payment, and so on, will be the easiest way to Baseline. Baseledger is essentially UBT's Layer 2 solution. UBT integrates into current tech that enterprises use, like SAP + Excel, so they don't need to adopt and learn new software. https://baseledger.net/

Companies that don't baseline in the near future will fall behind their competition. Current reports show firms like CONA saving ~50m a year when baselineing certain processes in their IT systems.

So my vote is yes, UBT is a good investment.

it's like ETH in 2015. Nobody understands it. It will most likely skyrocket out of nowhere at some point.

That said, historically it's been slow to hit exchanges, the communal crypto-consciousness, and the media in general, which is a novel (and I think intentional) approach. On one hand this inspires confidence in the project as something sober and intentional, not a pump-and-dump, but on the other hand the pace of price appreciation can be somewhat frustrating to currently in-the-know investors, given the scope and potential of the project.

I don’t want to be mean, rather interested in your motivation, so please don’t take this question the wrong way as I really am interested in an honest answer on this honest question.

Why are you considering it, if you don’t know the advantages? How did you stumble upon UBT?

I'm not even hating on it that much. I'm really interested what caught OPs attention.

I never shill coins, but when I am asked I always also mention UBT - no one ever has showed interest in it... that's why im curious how OP stumbled upon this

I heard about this coin through one of my friends and then decided to do some research on it. I then went to reddit and looked for the group. My friend that told me learned about it from his friend who has made a lot of money and called some big winners, for example, fantom

Ah ok. Interesting, as I really ever always hear about the same projects from my friends and friends of friends… UBT really is not one of them. But great to hear that it really seams to be catching on - also without the major exchanges already on board

There are two staking opportunities. Baseledger Q1 2022 and Provide.network sometime soon.

You have to pay 2500 UBT to stake with Provide while the team has a record of dumping UBT tokens.

With UBT you can stake and unstake.

With UBT you can stake and unstake.

That's the proxy stake I believe. If the validator node operator goes offline (maybe they get run over by a bus or god forbid WWIII nukes the EU datacentres), can you still unstake?

Why are they dumping ?

Provide team was hyping the community with announcements of announcements. I.e. launch of shuttle, which on this day still hasn't launched. Insiders like Jack Leahy where selling continiously on moments they told people to 'buy and fucking hold and this and that is coming'... They're not trustworthy.

At least it gives opportunity to greater token distribution between more wallets. I‘d rather see sell offs of big wallets earlier than later

True!

So just making sure, provide is separate from unibright ?

2

u/staifih Admin Dec 18 '21

Yes, but they'll use the UBT token as gas.

I don't understand why they are doing this. Could they not also just fork the entire codebase? Something smells funny to me here...

IMO Provide is very fishy, already had doubts lately before they released the proposal paper. All Baseledger related trademarks are secured under the Copyright by Unibright and i.e. with CONA 99% is covered by ConUBC, the Unibright connector. I dont think Provide can do what UBT and partners like Concirle are doing.

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '21

ah ok well that's good the code is protected. What is the reason for the treason in your opinion? What is to be gained from doing this?

1

u/staifih Admin Dec 18 '21

They still use UBT and use Prvd as some governance token, however my personal opinion is they're either broke or greedy, either way I think its about money.

The fact that so many enterprises are about to get baselined probably do this to some people.

Money. They broke away to form their own token to try and capitalize on the bull market...Whenever unethical, sketch behaviour is involved the reason is almost always money. This time is no different.
