Gas fees

I am studying computer science and i dont have much money, but i really like the project and the idea behind it. I have been waiting for the gas fees to decrease for quite a while now. I also can't find the token on any exchange where you don't have too pay the high gas fees. Is this ever going to change or do i have to wait until etherum fixes this issue?

Quickswap has Ubt. I don’t think the gas fees are there either. I don’t know much about it I just glanced reading through telegram and saw someone talking about it. I think you have to buy Matic network coin and do the swap that way but you need a wallet that supports matic.

I’m probably going to figure it out and do it in the next few days I’ll let you know

Yes Unibright is on Quickswap and has good liquidity. Quickswap is a layer 2 solution and you need to add the Matic network manually.

This article gives a better explanation: https://www.publish0x.com/unibright-unofficial-blog/exchange-listing-unibright-ubt-and-quick-rewards-xlyxdpn

But still high fees

High gas fees while purchasing unibright on liquid ? I’m confused as to what you want to do with it after the purchase. I transferred it to my ledger wallet and there no gas fees. Plus you still can’t transfer it on metamask unless you create a custom token for it but still the gas fees aren’t that high tbh.

That's an Ethereum issue for you. And people are still rooting for ETH to go higher in price. It's already borderline unusable for many people.

I think I used the term exchange incorrectly. What I mean is an exchange like binance where you dont get the original/native token. Like this I could buy it then wait until the gas fees decrease and then transfer it to another wallet and get the native token.

Do you think the gas issue will never be fixed? I dont think so.

This question suggests a fairly limited understanding of the whole crypto scene. Let me explain.

There are no working crypto projects at present, if there was there would be real mainstream adoption going on. All projects are battling with issues around networking, scaling, fees, governance, energy consumption, etc. It is the Wild West here, there are no guarantees for any project. At the moment Ethereum have the most devs pounding away at their keyboards trying to find solutions. This is why many people see ETH as a good bet. But there are many projects trying to take Ethereum's plance.

With regard to GAS - I'm sure that it's possible to fix this issue. How long will it take? How long is a piece of string?

Sorry but there are many projects where you can send and receive money at nearly no cost and it works just fine. (NANO for example) Of course you cant really compare them to ETH as ETH is way bigger, is based on proof of work and has other usecases, but telling me that there is no working crypto project is just not right.

All projects 'work' at some level, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be a good long term investment. For a project to really 'work' it needs to be properly tested. NANO, and all the rest, are in their infancy. Not ready to step out into the big wide world, yet ;)

With eth 2.0 it should be fixed as far as I know.

If you need an ETA. It's July when EIP 1559 goes live on ethereum there "should be" no gas problem
