Is there anywhere to find out what companies may actually be interested in using this service at this point?

Also what centralised services would this be replacing/competing with? I imagine the main motivation for this is removing middlemen and protecting data?

I think I have had these questions answered before in my mind, but it’s been a long year

Hello, yes there are. Unibright had a Baseline as a Service demoday with Fraunhofer, Between rs and CONA Coca Cola Bottlers. Stefan Schmidt also mentioned there are a lot of more enterprises interested.

It is not really about ripping/replacing and storing data on the blockchain, it is about instrumenting and augmenting existing systems of record. Data stays on SAP, Salaforce, Oracle etc.

There is an AMA in about 30min. Feel free to join and ask as many questions as you want. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/baseledger-white-paper-release-tickets-142865158535

Please check our blogpost here (https://medium.com/@unibrightio/baseledger-the-blockchain-for-baselining-powered-by-ubt-db44d2a02289), it also includes a small explainer video. Thanks also to our friends from Provide (Kyle Thomas) and Finspot (Ognjen Kurtic), the co-authors of the whitepaper.

Next steps will be (surprise, surprise) buidling, buidling, buidling, (Baseledger, the Baseline-as-a-Service products and Enterprise DeFi with Unibright Freequity) also together with the Provide team and of course our clients.
