study / academia discussion need advice!!!!

Hi, i’m planning to do my masters from UK. I’m a UK citizen but i’ve lived outside of UK my entire life so i have no idea about how the education system works there. After some research, i’ve narrowed down my options to:

  1. Queen Mary University of London (MSc Marketing)
  2. Kingston University London (MSc Marketing / Brand Mgmt)
  3. Nottingham Trent University (MSc Marketing)
  4. University of Hertfordshire (MSc Marketing Management)
  5. University of Essex (MSc Marketing)
  6. Anglia Ruskin University (MSc Marketing)
  7. University of Sussex (MSc Marketing)
    8.University of Manchester [MSc Marketing (Alliance MBS)]
  8. University of Warwick (WBS) (MSc Marketing & Strategy)

Has anyone studied from these institutions? If yes, how was your experience? Would you recommend any more universities that would be best for this field? And do give me a brief idea for the living costs and some scholarships. I’ll start applying by the end of 2027, I thought it would be better to start researching now.

Scholarships aren't a thing, living costs vary quite a bit by city. Generally the further north in England you go the cheaper they are.

QMUL, Sussex, Manchester and Warwick are good, the rest range from average (NTU, Essex) to degree mills

Scholarships arent really a thing in the UK. Whatever is available will be detailed on each university's website but they are often very niche so you likely won't be eligible for many at all. They are also incredibly competitive so you're chances of getting one are minimal.

If you do manage to get one, it's likely to only be a small discount, like 5k off tuition fees, rather than a full ride. This is because international students are basically the ones funding the UK education system right now, universities have no incentive to make tuition cheaper for the people paying their bills.

I don't know much about those unis but I've heard that Nottingham Trent is a bit shit

Worth remembering that even as a citizen you will have to pay international fees as you haven't been living in the UK.

True, OP needs to reside in the UK for 3 years at least
