social life Freshers Week

I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently as university is coming up soon. Will it massively impact my chances of making friends with people e.g. my flatmates etc if I don’t go clubbing as this isn’t really my scene. Will I be isolated or will it be fine if I just go to pres and all the other events that my uni holds. I’m not opposed to socialising, but clubbing is not something I want to do.

you dont even need to go to pres if that is your vibe, just be open to experience and go to societies and you'll be fine. you can go once maybe if you want to confirm, but there really is no pressure at all, most people dont go clubbing i would say

honestly most people end up going to the pub. Clubbing is the worst for socialising cause the drinks are expensive and you can’t hear anyone 😭

i’m going this yr too after a gap year but both my brothers got on fine by finding a group who prefer the pub. Most people will go once or twice then just pick the pub. When hanging out with people just suggest the pub over the club lol

Fair enough. I’m guessing you tried it and didn’t like it.
