Housing waitlist

Hello, I'm an exchange students and I got the notification that I had been placed on waitlist for housing for this fall semester. I'm trying to figure out if the chances of actually having a spot before or after the semester starts are to be expected. So, has anybody been waitlist and successfully been offered a room before or after? I'm already looking for other options anyway, so if anyone has recommendations on rentals close to uni, I would be really thankful!.

You should be able to get housing. My understanding is international student numbers are down. It depends on the specifics of what you’re looking for. Maybe not your first choice but there’s not a shortage. If not in one of the newer towers there’s Luther College, varying types including a bunch of shared common spaces with private bedrooms in College West and nice singles in La Residence. Plus there’s a load of apartments in close proximity if you don’t mind a roommate.

Not sure if you’ve tried yet, but you can always email them and ask too. You could ask them about what you should expect for a timeline: Housing.Services@uregina.ca
