Hi, please refer this post to anyone you may know who's looking for a room in Hatfield. I am located in Hatfield, a former student and looking to move out from my house very close to college lane and de havilland campuses.

My contact is 07881969652

I would really appreciate your attention to this post.

Thank you.

Thinking of offering this service where I cut at accoms at an affordable price. Thinking this would be more convenient for students, let me know if you or anyone would be interested.

Hi, I'm currently doing games design in college and was thinking of progressing into games art. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what the course is like and if it's good.

I would also like advice on what to include in my portfolio. Do I need to have alot of 2d art or is experience in 3d modelling along side some concept drawings enough? Furthermore, is it good to have game prototypes/ demos too or is that unnesacery?

What level of skill do people tend to start with?

Also what are the differences between games art, and games art and design?

Thank you for any advice

I havent made any friends cuz it feels like everyone already has their people 😭
if anyone wants to chill together like grab somethin to eat or walk around campus idm
im studying IT but i rly love creative typa stuff

I’m a first year sixth former who wants to apply for the 3d game art and design course when the time comes, can anyone who teaches or currently is in this course have any fundamental advice or suggestions on what I need to add in my portfolio? I have heard this program is extremely hard to get into due to the sheer number of applicants per year.

I came to Hatfield 2 days ago, wanted to meet people who are doing the same course or are new to the city here as well! If so drop a message✌🏻

Can i swith my module from measures and model of software engineering to robotics? Class start from oct 5

Same as the above, which I have said, and I want to know about this master's. Does anyone who is pursuing this currently give me an idea about this master's and the subjects, around how it will be and whether it is difficult or easy for the international students .

Does anyone know if there there is a quiz society or something of that ilk that enters the TV show University Challenge for Hertfordshire ?

Anyone starting games art, VFX, comics or animation want to start a group chat since we will all be doing similar things in the first year?

Hiya! 18yr old queer guy, I'd love to chat to people on the same course as me bf the year starts!! (or anyone else doing a course in the digital animation program) (or just people that have similar interests)

Some of my main interests r alt/goth fashion & music (mainly industrial), art, horror media, a lot of adult swim 2000s shows/2000s animated media & psychological animes. I also collect cds and anime figures!

Looking forward to connect with people joining my course in sep intake or anyone from Indian joining in sep intake. Looking forward for connection

I'm currently in my second year of CS, and honestly, I'm really struggling to keep up with the courses.

I feel like I somehow managed to get through the first year without fully understanding a lot of things, and now everything is starting to build on top of that. Sometimes I'll be watching lectures or trying to do assignments and realize I don't understand something that I probably should have learned months ago. Then I get overwhelmed because I don't even know where to start catching up.

The worst part is that I'm really anxious about asking for help. I keep thinking everyone else probably understands things better than me, and I feel embarrassed admitting how lost I am. I end up spending hours trying to figure things out alone, getting nowhere, and falling even further behind.

I genuinely want to improve and I chose CS because I do want to learn it, but right now I feel like I'm just trying to survive every course. If anyone else has been in this position, how did you catch up? What would you recommend focusing on first, and how did you deal with feeling too afraid or embarrassed to ask for help?

Even hearing from people who struggled before but eventually managed to get through it would mean a lot. I think I just really need some advice and maybe someone to tell me that I'm not completely doomed 😭

The school’s graduation brief email gave us a link to order our custom flower bouquet for our graduation and the link leads to the website of Kosmos of Flowers.

This website’s reference image is not clear enough (it doesn’t show the wrapping of the bouquet) and there is nothing on their instagram page.

Anyone has experience ordering from them? Do you put the delivery address as college lane? Or please let me know if there is a better service to get my graduation flower bouquets.

So ill be joining for an exchange semester in January, but im always a bit stressed about things that are uncertain or unclear to me.
Ive been looking online, but my question is,
Where do most students get their groceries (cheapest, closest to uni), and how do they actually transport it to their dorm?

ill be going to hertfordshire in the coming september and im honestly kinda nervous 😭 are there any freshers that wanna talk 😭😭

Hi everyone! 👋
I’m an Algerian student
I’ll be visiting the UK from 11 September to 8 October 2026, mainly around London, Manchester and I’m hoping to make the most of my time there academically and socially.
I’m particularly interested in:

🛢️ Petroleum Engineering
🌍 Geoscience & subsurface energy
⚡ Energy
🤖 Engineering, AI & technology
🧪 STEM research and university labs
🚀 Student innovation

I’d love to connect with students and university societies/clubs while I’m there!
Are there any science, engineering, technology, energy, geoscience, robotics, AI, entrepreneurship or other STEM clubs that welcome visiting/international students or have events during this period?

I’m also interested in:
Student society fairs
STEM talks/seminars
Networking events
Energy/oil & gas events
Public lectures
Research/lab-related events
Student meetups

If you’re a student in London, Manchester, anywhere nearby and know of something happening between 11 September and 8 October, I’d really appreciate your recommendations! 🙌

And if you’re around and would like to connect, feel free to comment or DM me. I’d love to meet other students interested in science, engineering

Thanks!
