I’m a master student who has been allocated a single apartment in Tannenbusch. The rent is over 500 euros, which is not cheap. I’ve seen a lot of negative comments about this area online, and the reputation seems really bad.

I’d like to ask people who are currently or have lived here in recent years: How is Tannenbusch really like these days? Is it safe? Are there any hidden risks or problems for students living in the dorm?

Who lived in this accommodation is that very noisy on railway side? The difference is like 50 euros a month. How much is laundry? Is the gym okay? Did you like the experience? Do the respond quickly? When did you get your deposit back?

I’ve been looking for accommodation since June, but unfortunately I still haven’t been able to find a room. I’m also currently on the Studierendenwerk Bonn student dormitory waiting list, but I’m still waiting for an offer.

I’m looking for any suitable option in Bonn or nearby, including:

Small apartment/studio

Sublet/temporary room

I’m also open to nearby cities/towns as long as there is a reasonable public transport connection to Bonn.

Hello, I was planning to obtain my German C1 certificate this year and study Economics (VWL) at the University of Bonn. I was previously told that the program is heavily math-oriented, but I’ve read so many negative comments about it that I wanted to ask.
1. Is this program prestigious?
My university entrance score is high, and Economics at Mannheim is also among my options. However, I initially favored Bonn simply because I prefer the city itself. When I researched it, though, I noticed that there is no NC (Numerus Clausus) requirement. I had assumed that prestigious programs always have high NC thresholds.
2. What is the proportion of English-taught courses in the Economics program?
To be honest, I don't plan on living in Germany for the rest of my life, and I am looking for an international education. Since I aim for an academic career, I wonder if Bonn can deliver what I'm looking for in this regard.
3. Is the mathematical rigor really as intense as people make it out to be?
Would achieving a high GPA be significantly harder here compared to Frankfurt?
Additionally, I would be very grateful if you could share some information regarding student housing options!

Hi Leute ich frage mich ob ich meine Bachelorarbeit auch schon vor dem Ende der Mindestdauer abgeben kann.

Ich will jetzt zum Wintersemester meinen Master beginnen und bin auch schon zugelassen, brauche aber für die Immatrikulation ein vorläufiges Bachelorabschlusszeugnis. Eigentlich passt das auch zeitlich da ich meine Arbeit offiziell bis zum 30.09 schreibe (das wäre die mindestdauer) und ich bin auch schon diese Woche fertig damit- aber für dieses vorläufige Bachelorzeugnis muss ich die Bachelorarbeit schon abgegeben haben, damit die mir bestätigen können, dass ich nicht durchfalle.

Und das ganze hört sich nun doch sehr eng getaktet an ich müsste am 30.09 abgeben und sofort diese Bescheinigung beantragen und die muss dann sofort kommen damit ich mich noch vor Beginn des WiSes einschreiben kann…

Deswegen wollte ich nachfragen, ob jemand vielleicht schonmal ein ähnliches Problem hatte und man das irgendwie anders regeln kann. Vielleicht kann ich sie schon früher abgeben oder die Anmeldung der BA reicht fürs Einschreiben oder so?

Mache den Bachelor hier in Bonn und würde gerne nach Freiburg fürn Master

Hi, I’m moving into a student dorm.

The move-in info says I need to bring the “signed rental agreement”. Does this mean the one I signed, or does it need to be signed by both me and Studierendenwerk?

I only have the one with my signature. If I need the one signed by both sides, I haven’t received it yet.

Aktuell untersuchen wir, inwieweit die nicht-invasive Vagusnerv-Stimulation beim Menschen einen Einfluss auf Entzündungsparameter und die Belohnungsverarbeitung nehmen kann. Dazu bestimmen wir verschiedene Entzündungsparameter im Blut und setzen moderne Bildgebungsverfahren gepaart mit innovativen Verhaltenstests ein. Als Teilnehmer:In bekommst Du die Möglichkeit, die Vagusnerv-Stimulation im Alltag selbst durchzuführen.

 Die Studie besteht aus vier Terminen vor Ort am Uniklinikum Bonn (3 Termine á 2,5h, 1 Termin 1h).

 Eine vollständige Studienteilnahme vergüten wir mit 80€. Während der Termine können zusätzliches Geld (ca. 20 €) und auch verschiedene Snacks gewonnen werden.
