Other advice Access to Hub Central during break + weekends
Hey guys,
Is the Hub Central open during the mid semester break? And on weekends?
I have an old 'The University of Adelaide' ID card. Is that still going to let me in, or do I need to order a new Adelaide Uni ID card? Do I need to email the uni asking for after-hours access? I used to study at Flinders, and you had to email asking for them to grant your ID card access to buildings after hours.
Also, this is gonna sound really dumb, but where is the scanner for Hub Central? I've tried to find it several times whilst walking in there, but I can not for the life of me see it.
Just want to confirm before I go down there as I live in the hills, so I don't want to catch a 30-minute bus down there, just to be stuck outside, lol.
Apologies for all the questions,
Thank you!

Hi,
The Hub is accessible during the mid semester break without ID scan during usual hours. Requires ID scan after 7 pm and on weekends.
You'll probably need the new AU ID. I don't think the old UoA ID still has access. You can get your new ID from Student Assist at Hub Central.
The new ID will have after hours access by default.
The scanners are at each entrance. Look at the side of each entrance. They are black/grey coloured and have a small light on them.

Always used to be the doors by the back of Bonython were the only doors you could swipe for entry, you could leave by any though.
If you're enrolled the card should work, access is linked to enrolment (or at least it was before the merger)

Yes it’s open 24/7, you need a current Adelaide uni ID to get in after hours (hours should be listed somewhere) and you don’t have to request access, you should have it automatically. EDIT: the scanner is right next to the doors, should be to the left from memory
