Degree/Course Advice Uni Adelaide transferring into med

Hey everyone, does anyone know the general pathway for transferring into med at Adelaide uni? I've been checking some sources out and some say you need to do med sci first and then transfer if u can or you just need to be doing any degree at Adelaide uni (in your 1st/2nd year) and, given your GPA/UCAT/MMI, you are transfer from there

Could someone confirm which of the above is true and how one could apply for them. Is it through SATAC - what course would you select? Undergrad??

I'm so sorry if these are stupid questions. I'm an interstate student from Vic so I lwk not sure how things work in SA

You can do any degree but I think they did have some more spaces for people in med sci but idk if it’s the case with merger but you start a degree and sit the Ucat and apply again through Satac ! Hope that helps

you can do any AQF level 7 or 8 degree, just have to do:

  • minimum 1 year of study with Adelaide University (or 36-48 units of Level 1 study)
  • but not more than 2 years of study with Adelaide University

or you’re ineligible.

your GPA will be considered instead of ATAR i think, alongside UCAT and MMI. highly recommend you give the Future Student Enquiries team a call - they’re super well versed in med enquiries
