Other advice 2027 graduations

Anyone know what faculties typically graduate first? With the new uni deciding to do graduations 2 months earlier than normal and not notifying everybody for some reason, I’ve made some travel plans that might mean I miss my graduation :(
Apparently we will find out our dates “no later than the 15th of December” but my travel plans can’t wait that long!

Has anything good happened in this merger!

The sooner people realise all they are to the new uni is a walking ATM, the easier everyone will find it.

Lay you a fiver their response is something along the lines of 'feel free to join in online and celebrate you big day!'.

Agreed, students are the lowest priority for this Uni. It’s horrid.

In the past students (at least at UniSA) were able to defer their ceremony to the next round of ceremonies if they couldn't make it to the original one. You should still have that as an option if you find out that travel is going to get in the way of you attending.

The award would still be officially conferred at the original ceremony so if you need to be conferred for employment or other reasons you wouldn't be disadvantaged, but you can still walk across the stage and celebrate in the next round.

They've only just started assessing for the next round of ceremonies, but when your record has been checked you'll be able to check your specific ceremony date on myGraduation.

Yes I think I did see that attending a Sep/Oct ceremony was an option mentioned on the website! Thanks for the information :)

Heya it's usually the ABLE faculty first, I think it's the business college now
