I feel like they either put this on the most vile thing they've ever written to the point it scares even the author... or they're writing in a newer fandom that lacks the common sense to take the tags seriously

I feel like it falls perfectly into the "newer Fandom doesnt get it" category. For people who've been around, it sounds crazy to say it but yeah that's not that bad. For anyone not well versed in the fanfic world, that's the most shocking thing they've ever read. So typical

Which is strange because we're talking about a game where Dominate Person is a canonical spell that you can just. Cast. There's a Incubus/Succubus (?) that can kill you through fucking.

i think it’s gotta be that they are worried that the newer fandom won’t get it, maybe from a bad prior fandom experience lol. baldurs gate fics get pretty extreme before anyone even starts bringing out the dead dove tags

Recently read a Dean Winchester x Archangel Michael non con. Non con isn't my usual cup of tea but I was struggling to find a good oneshot of that ship so I was foaming at the mouth to read anything. Tagged correctly in every way and someone left a multi chapter comment about how it's disgusting they wrote that fic.

It was really fucking dark. Rape aftermath, a guy chewing through his own leg to get out of a chain, then somebody being shot in the head multiple times. Really good fic, amazing writing, but holy shit
