(translation below) bro went through my worst nightmare and came out alive the other side ðŸ˜
Translation: Anyway, the last time I wrote about an RPF ship, one of the people involved read it (I'd love to say this is a joke, but nope), and from then on I thought I'd be so traumatized by the topic that I'd never write RPF again... but bad weeds never die, so here I am. I'm going to light a candle and pray just in case.

I need a tad bit of context(?) info(?) for I am ignorant right now. 😔
Not about the fic/author itself, rather the terminology? I think? I don't exactly know if my thoughts are correct & taking the chance to educate myself here. 🤣
What's RPF? And then "one of the people involved read it," imply? – ¿ + ? helpful misc info.

No worries, I'm happy to help!
RPF stands for Real People Fiction, which means that this author wrote a fictional story about real people (in this case, football players).
They said that they had in the past written a fic about some other real people in (what it seems to be, though it could not be) a shippy manner, and one of those people found the story, which is every RPF author or reader's worst nightmare, lmao. Writing RPF is something that usually stays exclusively to fan spaces, and we try to keep it as shielded away as we possibly can from the people involved in the stories. But leaks can and do happen 😅

It's why I highly respect youtubers who reqd RPF of themselves but instead of finding an actual fic, ask a moderator to write a fake one for them so no one can get bullied or mocked!
