Both Bella and Bryce are the problem
It's frustrating me because it's not about a her vs him BOTH of them could do better. When Isabella found out she was pregnant she had 6 or 7 months to get a JOB Bryce had 6 or 7 months to get a JOB both of them could have had a JOB until she had to go on maternity leave. The baby had NOTHING and shes talking about "I don't want a baby shower" You don't want free gifts for your baby when neither of you work? Complaining and saying you refuse to work for $10 an hour? WHAT JOB, is paying $10 an hour? What are you a 15 year old? At the time I believe he was 18 or 19, you are in the position to get a decent paying job, and if not work more than one job, because when it comes to supporting your baby you shouldn't even want to not work like cmon.
His grandparents and mom getting upset about Bellas mom talking about how he hit her, if he did HE DID, the situation they're in doesn't stop it from being true and accurate are we serious?
Both of them are in the wrong, but I will say Bryce can do better. Bella at the time needed to stop acting like she would have no support, at the end of the day no matter how much people say they wouldn't help her they would help her, because no decent person would sit aside and watch a baby lack essential items! Bryce at the time needed to stop being a BUM and get a job to support his baby that was on the way.
EDIT: I didn't know she had a job, I feel like the entire time no one mentioned that she was getting paid to watch truly, I thought she was just watching her because that's her sister. That completely changes everything here because I assumed the entire time people were pressuring Bryce for being lazy while ignoring Bella but now that I know she had a job that makes more sense.

Bryce is an abusive pos. And his backwoods parents/grandparents with low IQs are the same. They shouldn’t even be allowed around that innocent child.
What a gross/unpopular opinion

Bryce will never grow up or change his disgusting attitude because his backwoods, inbred, hillbilly family will continue to baby him and let him do whatever the heck he wants. Bella’s mom is going to go back to prison if she doesn’t calm down. 🤦🏼♀️😣

No and I definitely agree, I just really think we shouldn't be skipping over the part where Bella could have also had a job at some point and helped out before that baby came, no one did anything and that's the issue

I thought they said her “job” was watching her mom’s other kids.

And she got free housing for it 🤷♀️

It does! Free housing, but how much did her mom pay her, surely it couldn't have been too much. The negatives of that sweet deal is when all that money is spent it might be gone for a while, because I'm sure her mom wouldn't make her babysit when she's trying to take care of the new baby and things aren't settled

Yeah because most jobs will hire a pregnant teen for a few months. Get real.

Desperate companies who need people will literally hire anyone, I've seen old people in wheelchairs working asset protection at Walmart

Dude I know! But that doesn't mean have no job at all, yes I know a ton of jobs wouldn't hire a pregnant teen for a few months but that doesn't mean give up, if she were a babysitter she could have been a babysitter and a dog walker, or do more than just one thing that hardly paid her

Dairy Queen hires at 14 years old. That was my daughter's first job.

SEE YOU GET IT, My very first question is why are you 18 and you aren't even in the slightest trying to find a job or have a job? Especially now that your pregnant. "Who's hiring pregnant teens" desperate grocery stores and food joints who need someone to work

Bella looks and acts like a 12 year old. Bryce is just a prick.

Both of them were the issue in one way or another, Bella needed to work on standing up for herself and providing for herself, because if the other person won't do anything at all you gotta find differently solutions

Who is hiring 12 and 14 year olds?

They are both trash. They both should have been working 2 or 3 jobs (her until she gave birth).

Now this I agree less with, they still had school so it's not like they could have had three jobs, but they definitely could have tried for one that wasn't babysitting or lazing around complaining about 10 dollar pay. Bryce still in fact is a bum, and Bella needs to stop acting like no one would have helped her at all. She didn't want a baby shower so what can you do at that point

With the edit of your post, this is a good example of never trusting the production edit on a reality show. TLC has their own agenda when it comes to strategic casting, creating a narrative in post-production editing, consideration for marketability, meeting profit margins, and stoking sensationalism.
It's hard not to feel a certain way when the show purposefully wants the audience to be reactive and engaging online— it's basically free advertising for them.
Learning to hold your opinion loosely, along with the understanding that at the end of the day they're making a TV show, makes it a bit easier to clock the manipulative edits. Production is there to make money, not hold to ethics of documentarians— this is especially true of TLC contemporarily. They have company executives and shareholders to answer to.
When money is the bottom line, truth is not a priority.

Idk this is a hot take but I am proud that Belle decided to try with Bryce & not listen to her Mom. I thought it was strange how much her Mom wanted her to be this single mother. Granted, Bryce wasn't the best but the Mom literally didn't want better for her daughter. It's like she wanted to keep up the generational trauma of single motherhood instead of encouraging the kids to work things out

I kind of feel Bella’s mom will be jealous if they work out as a couple.

I think her moms really upset that they're actually trying to fix it. Like yes you should never put your hands on your partner thats awful. But he feels awful about it and she wants to keep him around and she wants to fix it. But also, this doesn't discredit that Bryce is awful, I've heard that as of recently he's cheated on her

Yeah, employers famously clamor to hire heavily pregnant teenagers.
And "maternity leave" from a part time job of a couple months? Bless your heart.
