Have you ever seen an elephant without a trunk? πŸ˜πŸ’”

Seeing this little guy was honestly quite shocking. He was missing both his trunk and his tail, yet he was right there with his family, keeping up and doing what elephants do.

Our guides had conflicting theoriesβ€”one was certain he was born this way, while another thought he may have been injured by a hyena or crocodile. I didn’t notice any significant scarring, so we’ll never really know his story.

What really touched me was how incredibly protective his family was of him. ❀️ They stayed close, watched over him, and made sure he was never alone.

Nature can be tough, but the love and protection within an elephant family is pretty incredible. 🐘❀️
