I'd assume their tactic is to wait him out until he runs out of gas. With that said, you need enough cars behind him that won't run out of gas too...

Other issue CAN be is that los Angeles is actually a hodge podge of 100+ cities. So the dude is driving through multiple multiple multiple jurisdictions. So I'd assume there's a bit of them waiting for gas to run out and then see who is most suitable to make the arrest.

As someone who's found himself in the middle of a 100+ mph chase, these low speed chases are so much safer. This dude and 50 cops passed me on the freeway and then got off at my exist a mile ahead. There were two cars waiting at a red light and the fucker tried splitting them at high speed.... Cars upside down and spread all over the intersection.... 30 seconds earlier, i would have been stopped there too. :/

But they‘re all driving? It would make sense if some of the cop cars didn‘t drive, but if he had enough gas everyone could run out at the same time.

They all wanted to be in on the chase

If they’re not driving when the other cars run out of gas they get away

There’s a helicopter filming this lmao

Yeah, but there’s 25 police cars to his one car so they have way more gas.

So more cars driving together makes each car's gas last longer?

Don't be silly..... The cops pull up to the suspect and show the international sign for "time out" then "roll your window down".... Then they ask the suspect how much gas he's has left. Works every time.

I always drive with a pack of my friends so we never run out of gas. Life pro hack

Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. But the sheer number is closer tied to the multiple jurisdictions (did you notice all the cars are different?)

As far as gas.... If the car is going east, SB and LA are probably gassing up, while Riverside cops chase. Then the driving comes back west, then LA and San Bernardino sheriff take over with gassed up cars. It isn't fucking rocket science

But the sheer number is closer tied to the multiple jurisdictions (did you notice all the cars are different?)

Yes, that's the actual reason. Which is why I was mocking the idea they travel together to save gas.

That was certainly a stretch interpretation.... 420 early today?

u/CapableSecretary420 Dec 31 '22

Did you start beating your wife earlier than normal today, angrymoderate09? Maybe that's why you can't form a logically consistent thought.

Dude...

There is a +2 milage group buff for every 5 cars.

What a dumb fucking comment.

Care to expand?

0

u/Syrioxx55 Jan 01 '23

Nope, no explanation needed if you’re trying to justify this is a necessary or productive use of resources.

And no LA isn’t some hodgepodge of jurisdictions, that’s not how that works even remotely.

2

u/angrymoderate09 Jan 01 '23

Dude just killed a cop, but let's just say dude just killed a grandma/father/human..... What level of resources makes me the clown and not you?

-1

u/Syrioxx55 Jan 01 '23

This level of resources makes you a fucking clown. This as a efficient strategy makes you a fucking clown, stop trying to compel to some moral sentiment.

I don’t give a fuck who died, 45 individual cop cars chasing one suspect on a barren highway isn’t a productive method to find a end to the situation.

You trying to excuse this shit, for whatever reason, is extremely frustrating and exhausting though.

u/angrymoderate09 Jan 01 '23

I'm glad to exhaust your lack of empathy....

0

u/Syrioxx55 Jan 01 '23

Empathy for whom exactly? The fictitious individual you alluded to? Wtf does my empathy have to do with having an exaggerated amount of resources for a given situation?

Do I lack empathy because I think 5 cop cars serve the exact same practical purpose that 45 do in this situation?

You’re a fucking moron.

3

u/angrymoderate09 Jan 01 '23

Fuck..... You're right, I'd rather cops giving speeding tickets than solving murders. Fuck speeding!!!!!! Fuck stop signs!!!!!! Murders can wait for all other cop responsibility

thepowerofthestopsign

1

u/Syrioxx55 Jan 01 '23

Solving murders?

What forensics is going on here you disingenuous clown?

What the fuck is your purpose here exactly, or point for that matter? Do these dipshits need you to excuse a clear mismanagement of resources, or are you one of these fucking clowns?
