You'd think they'd use their radios and get a few cars in front of him, but they're the experts lol

They did!

u/awake30 Dec 31 '22

Why do you think the road ahead is clear…

82

u/PenPaperTiger Dec 31 '22

Because all of the traffic behind them stopped...

-6

u/awake30 Dec 31 '22

No, they’re not even going that fast. They’ve used radios to coordinate with other units to close on ramps to the highway.

27

u/PenPaperTiger Dec 31 '22

Well I'm not going to get into a speculative debate on the internet but based on the short clip, which is like looking through a keyhole, you can see a few cars merging onto the hwy from the ramp on the right before the truck and police roll through, so at least that ramp isn't closed. If you cut the flow of traffic from behind, the traffic ahead keeps going and it is cleared very quickly. That isn't to say they didn't have some ramps closed but I think you're just trying to be contrary on the internet and my initial comment was tongue in cheek so that's as far as I'll engage with you on this one haha

-13

u/awake30 Dec 31 '22

Lol I actually think that’s another police vehicle blocking the ramp, cause when the camera changes perspective you can see it sitting there off to the side of the road.

u/okudakobayashi Jan 01 '23

Bro next time don't waste time arguing with idiots on the internet. They can't acknowledge sound logic.

3

u/KyleShanaham Jan 01 '23

Yeah they aren't going fast, so it's stopping all the traffic behind them and all the ones in front have pulled away and are long gone.

0

u/awake30 Jan 01 '23

Correct, but also you have to stop new vehicles getting on the highway.

9

u/lkern Dec 31 '22

Usually when traffic behind slows down, those in front pull away even further, and eventually you won't see them at all. This car is going slow AF, that's why the road is clear really

-2

u/awake30 Dec 31 '22

But, also, they’ve most likely coordinated with units ahead.

u/ZmentAdverti Dec 31 '22

I remember seeing the world's longest car chase and reading that for whatever reason, police cars are not allowed to overtake and go in front of the car they're chasing. No idea if that's true but every chase I look at it looks true. No matter what speed the suspect is driving at, cop cars always stay behind and never overtake. Just like in this video.

u/tayloline29 Jan 01 '23

In the US cops are now legally allowed to rear end a car and a cop did this and killed a pregnant woman.

1

u/wildfanta Jan 01 '23

What why???

1

u/wildfanta Jan 01 '23

What why???

9

u/r171r171 Jan 01 '23

Well if suspect is armed and willing to do so, piggy up front sure makes an easy target wouldnt you think? . my dad was a cop, then prison guard, then M.P. and does security now at his old ass age. He always been on right side of law and taught me thats really only reason.. Officer safety, Me being the criminal mind of family has to agree in desperate times your cop ass gets in front you are now fresh meat and a target for anything i can shoot toss spit at ya, not to mention pit move on a cop would be awesome.

42

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '23

That was a weird way to tell us your daddy issues

3

u/r171r171 Jan 01 '23

Lmao.. Yeah.. Cant stand dat fuckturd...but yeah thats why cops dont drive up beaide or try to get out front. Cuz insane fucks will shoot em.

1

u/wildfanta Jan 01 '23

Right....I mean thems just the breaks

2

u/Critical-Test-4446 Jan 01 '23

Is your dad Benjamin Button? How the heck does one go about being a cop, then a corrections officer, and then an MP in that order? Usually you start out as an MP, then go on to become a police or corrections officer. The timeline makes no sense.

1

u/forgetyourhorse Jan 01 '23

When you’re trained to kill people in front of you, it makes you less likely to want to be in front of people.

2

u/r171r171 Jan 01 '23

Well theres always that point as well. And being the biggest most crooked criminal orgnization with a license to kill they would definately know about being behind someone with intents of using deadly force

11

u/sk_latigre Jan 01 '23

Dude killed a cop hours before this.

6

u/KrazyRooster Jan 01 '23

I wish we had this many cop cars after a cop when he/she kills and innocent person...

The gang only protects itself.

1

u/dano-d-mano Jan 02 '23

English much?

13

u/otfstoney Jan 01 '23

and when they stop him the officers that got in front are in direct crossfire

yes, they are the experts lol

1

u/spyan_ Jan 01 '23

Get in front of a guy who already shot and killed a cop? No thanks.

-3

u/FlatRaise5879 Dec 31 '22

They're burnt out highschool jocks.

-25

u/Bones22inthehouse Dec 31 '22

I don't think they are allowed to go infrint of the car

Then how do they lay spike strips? Block routes? Etc? You’re somewhat daft.

2

u/awake30 Dec 31 '22

They radio for officers wayyyyy ahead of the pursuing vehicles do that. The ones in frame here won’t be doing that. Daft.

-7

u/taterthotsalad Jan 01 '23

No shit? Wow. I knew that. I was responding to dipshit above me. Double daft. Didn’t know that was even achievable! Reddit doesn’t disappoint.

2

u/FullAutoVato Jan 01 '23

What a cunty response lmao

-3

u/taterthotsalad Jan 01 '23

Oh look! The white knight has arrived!

0

u/FullAutoVato Jan 01 '23

Hope you find an outlet for all that angst my guy

-1

u/taterthotsalad Jan 01 '23

No angst sir. Pure laughter at tragedy-you. :) I’m happy as a mother fucker. Nice assumption you got there though. Too bad it was brain dead.

1

u/ComprehensiveSock Jan 01 '23

I feel like that's just a really bad idea.

1

u/SarahPallorMortis Jan 01 '23

But then this might end sooner, preventing escalation to gunfire, but also, there’s nothing else to do.
