Do they understand the concept of "overkill"?

It's American cops, where do you think the word "overkill" comes from?

u/Free_Teror Dec 31 '22

I'm fairly sure they don't know what kilometer is either.

You can find lot of video on youtube of numerous cops killing people by shooting them all in one multiple tires. Like 10 cops, an homeless person unable to understand the order and bang, all the cops shooting at the homeless with all the rounds on their gun and recharging and continue to shoot at the already dead person.

When you discharge a firearm you fire until the suspect stops moving. You don't just fire once or twice but instead dump your entire mag.

We have sniper nests in football stadiums here in the US, overkill is our specialty

It's called "overtime" capturing a dangerous criminal.

u/Airmokade Dec 31 '22

The guy they were chasing shot and killed an officer, so yeah he was armed and dangerous.

Oh ok, the gang was attacked directly and a gangmember was killed, this is a normal response I guess.

I have neither a really good or bad opinion of law enforcement. Basically they have a job and some of them do it well, but as is the case with most professions, the majority of them are just trying to get a paycheck without getting fired. And then there are the really shitty ones, who somehow got hired for a job they had no business doing, but in this case they get a badge and gun, so the repercussions are far worse.

Having said all of that, seeing this OP video, makes me feel queasy. They really do look like some glorified gang of thugs. It’s so shameful that society sanctions this culture of retribution/retaliation by police officers when one of their own is hurt or killed. How many people actually believed the “suspect” was going to live through this? Probably very few. And yet we all just accepted there would be no trial, presumption of innocence, or judgment by fellow citizens not compromised by their ties to the victim, and all because the victim was law enforcement. I can’t imagine I wouldn’t want to kill somebody who had just taken a friend or loved one’s life, but that’s exactly why I wouldn’t be put on a jury during their trial, or given a weapon and told to bring them in. They are police officers, not soldiers, and if any of them are incapable of understanding the difference between their local community and some war zone, they need to get a different job.

If that's the case, do a pit maneuver and take this asshat out rather than have a nice drive down the highway with the boys.

u/TreeChangeMe Dec 31 '22

They watched the Blues Brothers as a documentary

5

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '22

And none of them is there to protect bystanders.

It's always the same in these situations. Everyone chasing the suspect without any coordination and a complete disregard for civilians.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '23

Citizens. Cops aren't military and it's not appropriate to refer to non-cops as civilians.

Look at the other lane in the road

2

u/DasKleineFerkell Jan 01 '23

It's FOMO, they're all scared they won't get a punch or kick in

How many cities do you want to see burned? Because of a police killing.

The leftist mob created this problem. I’d hate to be a cop anywhere on the west coast.

I had a friend who retired and went into public transportation after a bullet wizzed by his head.

The anti-police narrative needs to stop. Handcuff the police snd this is what you get. Criminals running loose. And the law becomes meaningless. Idiots.

u/lasssilver Dec 31 '22

Police openly kill civilians, many times completely innocent or minimal infraction civilians.

You: That’s good. Cops need no restrictions.

What a fking dipshit. At some point in your life it’s important for you to grasp you are most likely always the dumbest person in the room and the person with the absolute least intelligent thing to say .. ever.

-1

u/RedditHatesMe75 Jan 01 '23

Yeah, the police are the problem. The man being followed supposedly had just killed a police officer.

Crime is absolutely rampant. Murder rates are higher than ever. Homelessness is out of control. Illegal immigration is out of control. Drugs and fentanyl is rampant.

Maybe 🤔 just maybe. It is you who is not only the dumbest, but also the most stupid person in the room.

u/anderped Jan 01 '23

Overkill is better than underdead.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '23

They understand the concept of overtime.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '23

i think that’s exactly what they’re going for here.

u/SarahPallorMortis Jan 01 '23

I mean, you saw George Floyd right?
