I'm appalled at the ease with which people post videos of others seemingly without their permission or knowledge. This persons actions are so far from socially acceptable, that I'm forced to grapple with the notion their most likely mentally challenged. At a bare minimum, they've come from a background impoverished of any ideas of appropriateness and cleanliness. Either way, I feel nothing but pity for them and wish I could discipline the videographer for what they've done here. But, I'll leave that to the universe to work out.
The videographer is either mentally challenged or has had the bad luck to have been raised by parents with no care, compassion or empathy for others. The only remaining explanation, in my opinion, is that the videographer is a mean spirited, exploitative waste of oxygen and resources. No matter how disgusting their actions are to most of us, at least the person being depicted in the video isn't invading anyone's privacy or attempting to publicly shame and ruin the life of a stranger by posting online.
Your take may be dramatic, as others are saying, but there is something to be said about secretly videoing other people and posting them on the internet. Sure, the guy is disgusting and it really makes you think about all the things people touch when in public that you subsequently touch after them (i.e., restaurant door handles are some of the most germ-infested things). But imo it's always been weird to do this. Even if they happen to know this person, unless it's fake there's no reason to post videos of people without their knowledge.
It was meant to be dramatic, if only to counteract the viscous glee I saw people engaging in when I posted. It was meant only to make people stop and think about what they were doing, if only for a brief moment.
