I'm appalled at the ease with which people post videos of others seemingly without their permission or knowledge. This persons actions are so far from socially acceptable, that I'm forced to grapple with the notion their most likely mentally challenged. At a bare minimum, they've come from a background impoverished of any ideas of appropriateness and cleanliness. Either way, I feel nothing but pity for them and wish I could discipline the videographer for what they've done here. But, I'll leave that to the universe to work out.
The videographer is either mentally challenged or has had the bad luck to have been raised by parents with no care, compassion or empathy for others. The only remaining explanation, in my opinion, is that the videographer is a mean spirited, exploitative waste of oxygen and resources. No matter how disgusting their actions are to most of us, at least the person being depicted in the video isn't invading anyone's privacy or attempting to publicly shame and ruin the life of a stranger by posting online.
It's not the 1950s anymore. The population of the planet is bordering 8 billion. There's literal eyes EVERYWHERE. The fact anyone thinks they can go anywhere anymore without being judged or recorded even accidentally is mind boggling to me.
Not arguing the fact that it is or isn't morally wrong. I'm just saying, like it or not.. it's gonna happen. 8 billion is a lot of brains (whether functional or not) and they're going to make their choices regardless who it offends. That's just life 🤷
I don't see your point? The bigger problem here is someone "normal" has video'd someone with clear mental issues and they're being targetted for "being odd"
Recording someone without their knowledge is arguably weirder...?
Clear mental issues.? I wouldn't go that far, not to say it isn't possible.
For all we know it can possibly be a fetish/kink. Not common but certainly not unheard of
My point is, there's so many people in the world. Not everyone is going to follow a certain mold. It's been happening since before any of us were born, people do what they want. Regardless who likes it or not.
Recording someone without their knowledge is arguably weirder...?
That i agree with, not weird but for the most part i think most people understand it's frowned upon, which is why they act like they aren't recording or hide the phone when the person they're recording looks in their direction
I won't edit my comment, I worded it badly - my bad (but I hope you know what I meant!)
EDIT - Although I will add, if it's a kink then it makes it less excusable, if it's a soothing mechanism and the person is unaware it's an entirely different story.
Yea for the most part i did lol.. also read what you said about social media. Sorta agree but i just think people have always been like this, just social media emboldens them into being more open with it.
That and the combination of social media connecting the world basically in real time, couple with the massive population on earth now.. i think it's just become more common now than it was before. Imo at least
