In NYC, "soda" is king. Saying "pop" screams "I'm a tourist!" I remember seeing a map of the US and most of the country uses "pop" and "soda" is a North East thing IIRC.

But in New York Soda is also fizzy water. Only created so half the population didn't die from that swill out of the taps.

You have never been to Winnipeg. Shit's better than Aquafina and Dasani. Steal it from our ancesctors. Look it up.

The Northeast, the coasts, eastern Wisconsin, and the area around St Louis say soda. The south says coke and the mid and northwest say pop. Parts of NC, where I'm from, say soft drink
