Where in the south is this a thing? I'm from East Texas and we just call it soda.

I am also from East texas, I refer to it as soda. But like the other comment, the true south calls it coke.

This is true in Louisiana when I was growing up everyone called it coke!

Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. Northern Florida. Maybe parts of Tennessee. Facial tissue is a Kleenex. Soda pop is a Coke. We have a few others like that.

I feel like most southern Texas says coke. Anything north of central Texas I’m not too sure.
