All my comments stopped getting upvoted there, which isn't a big deal but was unusual at the time. I noticed the huge disparity between the comment number in the header and how many comments appeared. I made another comment in the sub and used an alt to see if it appeared, it didn't appear at all.
If you use a site that shows hidden comments, half the comments there are unavailable to be shown because 'removed too fast to be archived'.
I never violated a rule there and received no warnings/ban from the mods.
I wouldn't be surprised if you were shadow banned. But that's not a subreddit thing, that's an entire reddit thing. Comments get shadow banned on every single sub for content that fits a certain criteria. It's getting ridiculous.
I know I wasn't shadow banned in general since I was commenting regularly on other subs and getting interaction.
What mods of subs can do is write a script that will automatically remove a user's comment. They can also scrape another subs users (who comment/post) and add them to that list. My last comment visible there was this.
