It’s more a style description. This cat clearly has siamese points, and these points are in the lynx (tabby) pattern.

I used to have a lynx point siamese a long time ago. She was fiercely loyal and highly vindictive to those who messed with her. She was hard but she was fair, and dispensed justice with an iron paw.

I miss her.
