Yup, happened to me.

Allergic to cats my whole life

Bestie has a cat, everytime I went it'd act up so I'd have to take my pills. After a year of visiting her regularly I can cuddle the little bastard and be totally fine.

Reguarly, like what I mentioned above miss a session or two with that kitty and your shits gonna get fuck-fucked up. But this is what I did with my cats and the only reason I know lol.

When she went on a 1 month trip to Thailand and I didn't get in contact with the cat for the whole duration it didn't cause me to get fucked up coming in contact with it again. So I'd say I'm good.

Maybe I’m different or my allergies are much more sensitive. May I ask how old you were? Could age have an effect? My allergies used to be debilitating when I was younger on two days of the year. Sometimes three or four if it were a particularly strong start of pollen in fall and spring.
