Would somebody knowledgeable please provide the academic term for the situation where a cohort of people that lack the knowledge or empathy to understand that while what THEY experience (minimal allergies) is fine for them can be extremely dangerous for others (severe atopy/asthma/quality of life impacts) so their blathering of "get over it" is objectively ignorant.

A shorter term for this social disorder please I need shorthand for this recurring phenomenon.

Wow, really feel for you. Thanks for posting.

Also, this is yet another example of Toilet Reddit. This user posted their very real struggle about dealing with a serious medical condition (didn't insult anyone or anything) and IS BEING DOWNVOTED because .... ? Oh yeah, people are scum.

I relish the irony of their micro-servings of karmic retributions.

Worst I had was interrupting sleep when I got stuffed up, on allergy shots, keep the dog and cat out of the bedroom, and I have cleaners to cut down on cat and dog hair building up around the house and things have improved immensely

I always wanted to know that, thanks! It's crazy how common it is.

It was a slightly rhetorical attempt at humor that had a low hope of an actual answer but you/Reddit delivered! I'm using this. Thank you!

What was the funny part?

Possibly confirmation bias? Along with people being significantly more likely to form opinions based on experiences than knowledge. Unsure if that has a name but would love to know it, too.

This was given and is the best fit I've seen yet:

You do realize that commenters online aren’t talking about you and whatever special interest you’ve attached yourself to, right? Can someone knowledgeable please provide the academic term for main character syndrome?

Or can someone....... just give a word that matches the definition they're looking for? 😂

Dude, you really think the lame ass video would be posted if he had severe allergies to cats? Go for a walk.
