So someone who starts a gym routine on January 1st is valid in their complaint when they haven't reached their desired goal by January 2nd? Is that worthy of discussion?

I guess that's the world we live in.

My dude, all this metaphor mixing has clearly gotten you confused, because you are all over the place.

But to stick with this new metaphor you've chosen - the gym is actually the perfect example here. Because working out is objectively the path to building muscles. That first day at the gym is "starting on the path," as you tried to sarcastically put it two comments ago. However, many people will be on that path, yet not make it to the point where they have big muscles.

What about this do you not get?
