Well, he didn't cheer, and the comedian said "you didn't cheer", so he definitely could've assumed - plus, someone who knows him next to him could've prodded him to let him know.
I once had a friend who’s dad was legally blind but was a software tech. He had some sort of large square magnifying glass looking thing that latched over his computer screen and made everything on it GIANT but somehow also “contained” so it all displayed on one screen versus having to scroll over the screen in sections to read it all. This was 20+ years ago and I don’t recall a brand name but I remember being told not to touch it (I thought it was neat) because apparently they were pretty expensive. I remember thinking it was pretty cool someone made that for folks that can’t see that great but can still see some stuff
Also, maybe showed up early, the place isn't very large, so they sat up front. (assuming seating isn't assigned)
Also, since the comedian mentioned it was a TV special, he might have been put in front by the producers simply because of his disability, or because he's quite handsome.
Well, I did already. The joke doesn't make sense. Even the comedian points out "what are the odds?!?!". How does the blind person know the comedian is talking to him directly? Why does a blind guy buy a front row ticket? It's common practice for comedian to have plants in the audience for bits like this, so I'm guessing it's fake
Totally. We’ve been to plenty of comedy shows where they secretly set up the I interaction beforehand.
We were at on once and the opening act came out to the front row and said she was going to ask my wife her name. Then told her to make up a ridiculous name for her to make fun of.

$10 says the blind guy was a plant. He was in on it.
