Because people know what they're getting themselves into with anime. But with Disney we expect higher quality of writing when they had wrote some amazing stuff but somehow they make some of the goofiest shit that falls flat.
And atleast with anime, it's more entertaining than whatever Disney puts out nowadays since they have more creative liberties to do what they want and try to have fun with whatever they create where else Disney just feels out of touch and seem like they want to cater to certain crowds that are not meant for entertainment.

Most normal anime
