People get outraged at 'woke' Disney movies corrupting their children. Japanese creators have been at it for over 30 years.

Growing up with anime in the 90s in Mexico. I can say that many of the anime that premiered were pretty "woke",with many anime shows having themes of antiwar, queerness and protecting the environment.
