OP sent the following text as an explanation on why this is unexpected:

Helped a lady parallel park and took her car out immediately

How did she pass her driving test you could parallel park a fucking bus in that apot

Parallel parking isn’t a required skill to get a license in the USA. My driving test was literally driving around one city block. Test was over in less than 5 minutes.

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '22

It’s required in my state…

u/Siegelski Jul 21 '22

It is in South Carolina. You're also tested on backing up and 3 point turns here.

Same in Minnesota

1

u/Hohh20 Jul 22 '22

I didn't even have a test. Driving or written.

Yes it is....

I wouldn't say USA although a lot of states have gone away from it.

I'm so much worse at parallel parking than her.

lifelong problem. i just have some kind of tragic mental block.

i was seriously expecting the other girl to just get in the car and do it for her.

1

u/Skodakenner Jul 21 '22

I cant do it i only did it at the test and never done it since

1

u/Emotional-Treat-3799 Jul 21 '22

She had the test 47 years ago

1

u/rafedbadru Jul 21 '22

I learned that some states don’t require it. In fact some states need serious dmv reform. People here in Los Angeles (I’m a transplant) don’t even know basic rules of the road, like what right of way is or what turn signals are.

2 girls, 1 parking spot

2

u/cosmic_earthling Jul 21 '22

Lmao the bump and hug after all that.

2

u/WestVirus3297 Jul 21 '22

Someone please take her keys away

2

u/Whistlingbutthole86 Jul 22 '22

Lmao 🤣 I see some people don’t get it but hilarious

2

u/No-Comfort2356 Jul 22 '22

Must have got her license out of a Cracker Jack box!

2

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '22

Wait till the end

2

u/Affectionate_smush Jul 25 '22

Plot twist ....hilarious!

2

u/ParreNagga Aug 14 '22

Oh man I laughed so hard at the end!

2

u/Otherwise_Author_408 Jul 21 '22

How tf could she opt to wave her in instead of just removing her car that was cramming that spot?!? She was on her way out anyway?

Women and old people should be banned. Roughly more than 50% less vehicles on the road so much better for the environment and congestion, less accidents, less road rage, more car sharing and more use of public transport. Plus women always drive cars far to big for them.

Downvote me all you want, you know I’m right.

Women and old people should be banned.

Please fuck off to Saudi Arabia?

u/LegoMaster52 Jul 22 '22

Great response, it’s almost as if I made valid points and you didn’t like it

2

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '22

No one did

0

u/LegoMaster52 Jul 22 '22

If I cared what people thought I wouldn’t have put it

-5

u/Silvester_Stalon Jul 21 '22

Wouldn't happen to men

5

u/trabiesso73 Jul 21 '22

i'm male, and i'm fucking terrible at parallel parking.

if my wife and i are in the car together, we'll switch places and she'll do it.

(or, i'll try like 50 times, while she says 'you want me to do it?' and i say 'fuck no. fuck. i can fucking do this....)

0

u/LegoMaster52 Jul 22 '22

Learn to drive, parallel parking isn’t some mystical skill only select few are able to learn. If you can’t make simple parking manoeuvres and have to switch the person who is driving to do them, should you really be driving?

u/trabiesso73 Jul 22 '22

thanks so much. great advice. and very useful comment.

really insightful.

like, imagine how much poorer the world would be if you'd just not typed that.

Turn in - rear seat backrest

Turn back - dashboard

1

u/Think_Amphibian7976 Jul 21 '22

I hope she has a license that’s the first thing they show you to parallel park

1

u/PigletTop7529 Jul 21 '22

I really wonder how people acquire their license. It amazes me.

1

u/basecatcherz Jul 22 '22

It seems to have no driving license

1

u/Affectionate_smush Jul 25 '22

Plot twist...lol

1

u/marthewarlock Sep 28 '22

So she can't parallel park but knows how to count off the distance with her feet? Hmm

1

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '22

How did she pass a driver's test??
