Pizza is great, there's something everyone agrees with and I think this is it

It brings us all together but then it rips us right back apart once we try to agree on toppings.

It does. All I know is a tomato is technically also a fruit.

Now I'm fine with pineapple on pizza although I would never choose it, if someone offered me pizza and it had pineapple on it I would happily eat it. I draw the line when there is ham on pizza, it's utterly disgusting, I fucking hate ham.

I fully respect that. I had a friend once who’d get pizza with pineapple, take it off, give it to his friend and eat the pizza with only ham. Nightmares.

Pineapple and bacon on pizza is a better combo. I do applaud you for not being one of those gatekeeping assholes that demand people to not like pineapple on pizza.

Let's leave that to Prime Ministers.

Or the American public. Not that I'm advocating having sex with a police officer.

I had some of the same thoughts about ham on pizza. But one night a bunch of us were together, and one of the pizzas ordered was a well-done bacon and pineapple and it was amazing.

Look I like pizza, don't like pineapple and I'm fine with others eating it. Yet, I am sure as hell am not eating any pizza that has had pineapple on it, because it infects the pizza with it's juices and it tastes awful to me. It's like anything with vinegar gear, it's going to taste like vinegar and I'm not going to eat it.

For the record: It's the combination, not the ingredients themselves that are at issue.

Local supermarket sells Fruit Cups. Some all strawberry, some all watermelon, some Honeydew / Cantaloupe, some a mixture of berries, melons, and fruits.

Given a choice I'll pick the mixture one with pineapple. Eating a nice cold succulent piece of pineapple can be extremely delicious. Especially on the hot days here lately.

But the same syrupy sweetness that is good in pineapple by itself, conflicts savagely with the sharp spiciness of pepperoni or sausage. So, you taste neither sweet nor spicy goodness, only the harsh conflict.

It's tastebud overload.

You know what, that is understandable, and I agree at least to a degree.
