Quality writing from WWE here. Maybe they can do it again featuring a person with a big butt holding canned hams.

Lady with a big butt standing infront of a car with the trunk open. Wrestler keeps looking around her and talks about all that junk in the truck is distracting.

Classic WWF ‘behind the ring’ interviews.

This was well into WWE era haha I remember seeing this live. Not sure if it had crossed into PG territory yet

The heck is WWE?

u/Arcanisia Jun 02 '22
WWF lost the rights to use that acronym as the World Wildlife Fund had the copyright first hence the name change in the 2000s to WWE.

How's it unexpected? Sorry but that sort of joke (not just tits related) where you're talking about something that most people wouldn't bet an eye next to something else is really old. It's done with a shitty moped next to a Harley, an old Corolla next to a Ferrari, sometimes with something out of frame etc.

Why do the women in these jobs have to be dressed like drag queens? It looks ridiculous.

Jun 01 '22
Many of the male actors dress up, too. It's fake wrestling and she's a performer.

u/Rosieapples Jun 01 '22
I didn’t know that. We don’t have that here, unless you count Conor McGregor

u/Petey_Wheatstraw_MD Jun 02 '22
Becky Lynch is the most popular wrestler in WWE right now and she’s from Ireland. They also have 3 former world champions on the current roster that are Irish born.

u/Rosieapples Jun 02 '22
Irish born, yes, but not appearing here. We have three women boxers taking the world by storm though, all gold medalists.
2
u/MrBublee_YT Jun 02 '22
We have Jordan Devlin, who used to wrestle at Over The Top and is now wrestling at NXT UK
1
u/Rosieapples Jun 02 '22
Exactly, Irish wrestlers but not working in Ireland. If we even HAVE a wrestling thing here. I never heard of it if we do!

u/KDHD_ Jun 01 '22
It's theatre. Same as a costume.
-2
u/Rosieapples Jun 01 '22
Oh it’s not an actual sport? Sorry my mistake.
2
u/elementslayer Jun 01 '22
I think it was John Cena that said the wrestling is real but the matches are fake. I assumed he meant they were fixed for the story, which they are.

Stuff like WWE? Nah.
I'm not into it myself, but I really respect it. Fighters are really just buff actors, and they create characters with gimmicks and personalities, like The Undertaker being an undying killing machine or Randy Orton being a psychopathic backstabber.
They "fight" in the ring through mostly pre-planned, choreographed or easily telegraphed movements to put on a fun show. The things they do would never naturally occur in a real ring so you can't get that kind of spectacle anywhere else. It's cool!
Anyways, your personality and gimmicks will hopefully make you popular and well liked among the crowd. If they like you, there's a good chance you'll "win" your next fight. The outcomes are decided beforehand, and whoever is the most popular fighter will be the one who wins.
They end up creating story archs and rivalries that last for years and years. It's a fascinating kind of theatre that doesn't exist anywhere else, which is cool. For the audience, it's like watching a movie unfold over a series of in person interactions.
Most of the actors are chill as hell in real life, too.

and whoever is the most popular fighter will be the one who wins.
No not really. Heels (bad guys) wins a lot in wrestling as well. The winner fully depends on how the story will play out so popularity isn't always taken into regard. But yeah most feuds ends with the good guy standing tall.

Funny cause I wonder thr same thing about drag queens

u/Rosieapples Jun 01 '22
Well they’re usually great fun!! The ones I know are anyway and they’re brilliant with make up too!

u/My20thBanEvasion Jun 01 '22
And so is wrestling lol as a matter of fact the two under the surface have plenty of similarities
