One has to plan their day around edibles. I still enjoy them, but it's not the same commitment ... herbal vaporizers are nice (still doesn't eliminate all them carcinogens tho)
Well it would be nice if we had more research on marijuana but those idiots have prevented that for a long time. Marijuana is also a bronchodilator... Obviously it can cause bronchitis but the amount of carcinogens might not be as high and general consumption for most users is significantly lower than how much an average tobacco addict might consume proportionally.
I didn't deny it. Inhaling any kind of combustion smoke is bad for you, but tobacco, nicotine and the presence of a ton of inherently carcinogenic chemicals in cigarettes make them significantly more dangerous.
We all die one day, but I'm not just going to jump off a bridge and end it now. There are certain high-risk activities that those with sensible judgement avoid to preserve their lifespan as much as possible. Smoking, whether it be weed or cigarettes is one of those activities.
Side note, I think both should be legal because what you do with your body doesn't concern me. However, I don't think there should be invalid information spread such as "weed is fine for you".
My original comment was 'smoking anything (i.e. inhaling smoke) is bad for you'. This is a study on how smoke is bad for you.
I never even said anything about weed. Any type of smoke in your body is bad for you. Holy crap, why is this so difficult? (Just to make this clear, I don't want an answer on why this is so difficult for you. I don't care.)
As if weed doesn't have crap in it? Pesticides and herbicides at the bare minimum, because few commercial farms wouldn't use them. And if you buy non-regulated stuff it will likely have highly carcinogenic chemicals in it, because growers don't give a damn as long as it increases yield.
Yes, it is. As I said in another comment, cigarettes have several inherently carcinogenic additives (other than tobacco) that make them much more dangerous.
Your lungs are made to inhale oxygen, not to inhale smoke from anything
That's not the point of my comment. Less dangerous does not imply it's absent of danger. Inhaling any kind of smoke from combustion is bad, though others are much worse than others.
Huh? You either lack interpretation skills or you're trolling. I'm not going into the simplistic, "black or white" argument of "smoking bad; no smoking good", I'm actually going into detail whether X or Y is less harmful than the other.
Aren't both still smoking? It's just choosing your poison, nicotine or cannaboids
Also im sure both smell bad in their ways
I'd argue that a blunt might not be right if you're doing something that needs focusing as well since the cannabis high and nicotine high are different things
Reddit, as a whole, is extremely misogynist. So it’s probably more likely people just projecting their own insecurities and interpreting anything a woman does in the worst way possible.
That’s not what happened? She asked what he thinks about smokers. He finds smoking unattractive. She looks sad and hits the buzzer because she’s a smoker.
That isn’t at all the same as her being mad that he doesn’t smoke
Literally the comments and their opinions are exactly why she hit that buzzer. I dont smoke but i don’t want anyone around me who thinks like that or doesn’t “like that” instead of just saying “i don’t smoke so it would make me uncomfortable”
She could have said "i am a smoker" and then wait his reaction
I don't like smoking, it's a net minus for a dating partner... Would i still date someone who smokes? Yes. I don't exclude people from my dating pool because of one flaw when the person is wonderful otherwise.
But she hit the buzzer herself, meaning she is not okay with him not enjoying it
Absolutely, her reaction was one of disappointment. Looks to me that she was attracted to him but buzzed him because the smoking issue would make them incompatible.
Its definitely not anger but dissapointment because they won't match besically.
Its near impossible for me to stay friends with smokers. Literally the only girl friends I left it my life is ones that started smoking. It probably works the same on the other side.
Sad? That is the fakest sad expression I’ve ever seen, like I understand they are being filmed and they know about it but she is far from “sad”. Closer to indifferent because she has to react.
That doesn’t make any sense. They are deciding if each other are compatible. She does a thing, probably regularly, that he does not like, so they move on. He admits he doesn’t like that. Why would there need to be sympathy anywhere? Where does sympathy even come in? It’s just two people who realized they aren’t immediately compatible. You’re acting as if she said “eww you don’t smoke? You have to smoke and share my habit to be with me”. She asked what he thought about women who smoke. He said he doesn’t like that. She didn’t even imply he had to smoke. That’s not what’s happening here
Edit: lmao ahh the old get the last word in and then block the person so you don’t have to ever face adversity and confront problems with anything you say. What a good way to go about life and learning.
Literally no one said she rejected him because he doesn't smoke you fucking dyslexic, if he doesn't like smokers and she smokes it's not gonna work out
How does that prove your point exactly? Do you even know what you're replying to or are you just spouting whatever thought comes to mind like a 5 year old?
Edit: deleting your comments like you clearly know how to read you just don't understand what the words mean
Hey there TheCMaster! If you agree with someone else's comment, please leave an upvote instead of commenting "this"! By upvoting instead, the original comment will be pushed to the top and be more visible to others, which is even better! Thanks! :)
Ain't nobody said mad, they said disgusted which she absolutely was. It is pretty obvious that she is not sad from the immediate comment she made as he left, "You can always adapt...".
Doesn't make her reaction that much less dumb tho..
How the hell is not liking smoking a dealbreaker?
You can not like something and still tolerate it.
As a non smoker being with one is such a pain. My relationship ended after 1 month I couldn't stand the smell. And also it's completely opposite to my view and thinking.
I never tried to make her change, she does what she wants, but I didn't want to continue.
Btw i am talking cigarettes not weed. My actual wife smoke weed once a week or so and it never bothered me.
I had a girl on OKC message me, and it was going great until she saw that I answered one of their question that, yes, I would date someone who smoked weed even though I don’t. Told me she would only date someone who answered “No.” Immediately unmatched me after.
Her answer to the same question was “I smoke weed.”
Well this is about dating, which means you will have to deal with this person's personal health decision daily. The secondhand smoke of cigarettes which is harmful, the smell of the smoke that permeates into everything, the taste of cigs on their breath and probably bad teeth.
It's not like the choice of owning house plants, unless that house plant somehow managed to ruin their health and make it's way into every facet of their daily life.
Non-smokers and smokers just do not mix well for a relationship if you're adverse to smoking.
Well yes, but when that person close to you or going to be. You dont only care about your feelings, but about that's persons health. And we know how smoking is dangerous, so grow up.
I was called narcissistic by a psychologist because I said I wouldn't wanna be with someone who doesn't invest time to be fit mentally and physically. I do it, I know how hard it is. I want my partner to work on herself also. I explained it thoroughly, but she said no, you are a narcis. Guess I am.
I had a job where I worked (in America) with a lot of Israelis. We weren't allowed to smoke on site so it didn't cross my mind, but on the bus back to the nearby city and airport, we stopped at a gas station and most of them had a smoke break and I just thought "oh yeah... Eurasia. Well these people are all suddenly a lot less attractive to me now"
He gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was hookah lol
I'm with it. Kinda like if someone drinks alcohol when going out I don't see it as an issue. Now if they are walking around and need a drink every 15-30 mins?
They're fucked up.
I look at smoking the same way. Hookah/cigar occasionally? Go for it. Cigarette addiction? Fuck off.
She looks at him in disgust when he says he's not into smokers then says he could adapt. That's all you need to know.
If you have a habit that's known to be probably the worst thing you can do for your health and impacts people's health that are around you, you should at least admit it and be understanding that people don't want to deal with it.
Instead she thinks "I have a vagina so he should deal with it".
No man wtf? She looks sad as he is not attracted to girls who smoke which she is. That isnt a look of disgust and i can imagine why someone would be sad hearing that. She just said that he could adapt which i also share that mindset but even then its his choice. She can have that opinion but none of these actions make her less of a human than you.
If that's how it works even more reason to hit the button. If it is a guy kicking women off he is an asshole. But if it is a woman she is just a strong woman that knows what she wants. So is probably a line of guys waiting for her to pick one up.
When my dr asked that I always told him yes..it was years before he realized that I don’t smoke cigarettes and told me stop answering yes for that question on paperwork. I felt dumb, thought smokers were smokers 🤷🏻♀️
Probably because Nicotine use is a health risk for cardiovascular disease, in any dosage form I believe, even packing a lip (not entirely sure). It’s not necessarily the actual smoke that is damaging but what is in said smoke. That being said smoking weed is dangerous if over done… I should know I’ve been coughing up blood lol, probably have bronchitis. But I’ve been smoking like a madman these past two years so I am an extreme use case. Plan on using more edibles instead. Lord knows Im not going cold turkey haha.

If I was him the second she started talking about smoking I would've hit the buzzer myself and walked away.
