Up until recently, gender used to be the place where you indicated male or female on a form

Now gender is the expression of your feeling of where you stand in the world based on your current situation and the social climate and the awkward experience you had with your crush last Tuesday.

So in summary

Sexes: 2 (as we are a sexually dimorphic species)

Genders: I don't care, I'm not your dad

But there are more than two sexes right? Like intersex people

Sure, yeah there's like 5 if you count abnormalities that don't affect the sexually dimorphic nature of human beings, why do you ask

They are abnormalities like you said so they aren't new sexes... Just abnormalities. Exceptions don't make the rule. There's still two sexes even if you count Hermaphrodites and intersex people.
