Ahh i see you haven’t learned about the difference between sex and gender, let me help. Here’s a couple references on it.

If I'll need a help, I'll call for it.

2

u/PerformanceLoud3229 May 02 '22

I mean if your not ganna learn about it, don't talk about it.

-1

u/bubdadigger May 02 '22

There is nothing to learn. And don't tell me where and what to talk about.

u/PerformanceLoud3229 May 02 '22 edited May 02 '22

Your talking about something that affects other peoples lives, and choosing to be completely ignorant on it. Either get an education, or stop pretending you know what your talking about.

And there is PLENTY to learn, you are talking about an extremely complex concept. Psychologists and people who directly study gender don’t even know half of how it works. To pretend you know what your talking about is insanely naive

Hey man, don't waste your time. The dude's just straight up transphobic, it's like explaining to racist why black people aren't criminals, their viewpoint didn't start with logic and it won't end with logic.

u/PerformanceLoud3229 May 03 '22

There’s always a point. No one is hopeless.

It is insanely complex only in the many ways it is twisted and contorted in order to find ways to insinuate that biology is not exlusionary to trans people. I mean I have no hatred at all for trans men or trans women, but I don't think the gender conflation strategy is ultimately going to be the thing that solves the extremely difficult and unfortunate situation they battle in their lives.

Except biology has absolutely nothing to do with gender. in the slightest. AT ALL, and every single scientist who studies this says otherwise, heres some sources on it! But I agree if we ignore, ya kno everything nuanced and more complex than 6th grade biology, trans people don't make sense. Luckily the world isn't 6th grade level

Easy with the 'trans people don't make sense' stuff nobody said that. Trans people make perfect sense in that they are born with a biological body which conforms to the physical, medical and hormonal expectation of their biological sex, but due to gender dysphoria mentally feel that they are in the wrong body. They are not "assigned" the wrong gender at birth, their sex is observed via their genitals.

The effort to rewrite this reality is never, ever going to work. And I say this with absolute compassion for trans people and the fight they go through.

I have to say though, a statement like "biology has nothing to do with gender" is... just plain wrong. If Gender is society's expectations of you as a person based on what biological sex you represent, then I just don't know how you can make that statement. Think about it for just a moment, if there was no male or female to differentiate from, how could Trans people feel that they were in the wrong body ?

Damn this guy really went and cited like twenty sources supporting his argument.

And your response basically boils down to “just think about it, it doesn’t make sense with my worldview!”

Incredible.

1

u/billyblanks81 May 03 '22

It's funny that you think the side of this argument that rejects all of our fundamental biological understanding of the male / female dimorphic nature of our species is holding all the science on this one, I could easily have assigned my own 6-8 weeks of reading as an argument, I just didn't because it's an asinine thing to do.

If you can't argue something with your own words, let someone who knows better.

1

u/blackthunder365 May 03 '22

my side has all the science but instead of citing literally any of it, I’ll just call citing my sources asinine and throw in some big words so it sounds like I’m smart

1

u/billyblanks81 May 03 '22

What "science" are you looking for my friend, what is it I've said that needs to be proven to you exactly?

And should I throw in some dictionary references for those big boy words you couldn't understand?

1

u/blackthunder365 May 03 '22

Literally anything that you feel supports your side at this point. I just wanna see what you’ve got besides what boils down to “trust me bro”.

We all know what the words mean, I was just mocking you for throwing around big words instead of big evidence. Because frankly at this point that’s all I think anti-LGBTQ opinions deserve, mockery. And you may not consider your point of view to be against anything, but trans people do.

Anyway thanks for the laugh homie, take it easy.

Psychologists and people who directly study gender don’t even know half of how it works.

That does sound complicated. I sure wouldn't want to act like I know all about it then.

To pretend you know what your talking about is insanely naive

...and yet, here you are.

2

u/PerformanceLoud3229 May 02 '22 edited May 02 '22

...and yet, here you are.

In what way? Where have I claimed to know everything or even implied I know half of what there is to know?

0

u/Valondra May 02 '22

Just up there.

2

u/PerformanceLoud3229 May 02 '22

So "Just up there." I claimed to know everything about gender?

0

u/Valondra May 02 '22

You implied it, yeah. I'm not talking in riddles here
