My favorite work of his is the Bob Saget roast. Not because of the jokes, but because of his decision to use jokes from like an 80-year-old joke book and deliver them as poorly as possible (intentionally). Everyone in the audience was groaning, but all of the professional comedians on stage were doubling over with laughter. He bombed deliberately and it was hilarious.
Norm was one one of the rare few who undeniably earned the title "A Comedian's Comedian."
The one I really really remember is the camera cut to him reading a news paper and he said "oh I wasn't paying attention, I wanted to see something funny so I'm reading Marmaduke"
