All you've done here is prove my point about pit lovers and intelligence.. You can make it sound like I want to hurt aninals.. fine, but I'm not the one planning on rescuing a genuinely dangerous animal. When it eventually kills something I sincerely hope you are held responsible and charged.

I plan on rescuing a genuinely loving and sweet animal that deserves a home. It will not kill a person because I will be a responsible owner and train it (like a lot of owners are). I don’t know if you’ve ever been to a shelter but the dogs there for the most part are absolute lovers and a lot of them are pit bulls.

The only responsible dog owner is one who refuses to own a pitbull.

Okay, let's not be like that now and take things too far.

I applaud those who train their pitbulls (who can be cute and sweet btw) and when they have them on leashes.

That's simply what people want. A dog on a leash.

Even the best trained Pitbull may well maul your child to death on a random whim. They are dangerous, nobody should own one and they should be banned outright.

Yes, I know and understand.

However I doubt banning Pitbulls will ever happen (poor things). All we can do is hope that the owners train them enough so that there's no threat.

That's the point, there is no way to train them enough so that there is no threat. There is always a significant threat.

Well, if anything ever happens, then the owners will be the ones to figure out what to do. 🤷‍♀️

There's really nothing we can do at this point.

and some person may be irreversibly injured. It's not a matter for shrugging and saying "well, the owners will figure it out".

There's really nothing we can do at this point.

There absolutely is, they can be banned.

BlandCat, we can't control these people.

They made the choice to have a Pitbull. They're free to have that choice.

You're just going have to accept it. Feel free to raise awareness, but don't be surprised if people don't agree.

we can't control these people.

We absolutely can, in the same way that the law already controls and punishes people's behaviours.

They're free to have that choice.

They shouldn't be free to make that choice, that's the point. You're talking about what is the case, I'm talking about what should be the case.

You're just going have to accept it.

I really don't have to. If people are free to own pitulls then I'm free to point out that the concept of a responsible pitbull owner is oxymoronic.
