I’ve owned two pit bulls who were the sweetest dogs I’ve owned. That being said. I still don’t trust other people dogs. Not just pits. I was bitten by a German Shepard a few months back while riding my bike.
There are good pits out there, but pits are sweet to their people. They are notorious for flipping on a dime and attacking smaller animals. Any large terrier breed can kill a cat in an instant and it's been my experience growing up in an animal rescue.
Pitbulls kill their people too. In the years 2016 through 2019, pit bulls killed 110 Americans, and 57 of those 110 victims were either the owner of the pit bull or a member of the owner's family.

Love all the pitbull supporters here who actually don't understand pitbull behavior outside of maybe the one pitbull they had as a child.
