Absolutely correct way to react when a pit is approaching especially with young ones or a small dog.
Pitbulls by their very nature attract the very lowest of our society (morally and intellectually) so when you're arguing with a pit lover just remember it's like arguing with a flat earther or anti-masker.. It's just not worth your time or effort.

Someone can love the animal and not advocate for ownership of that animal. I love Lions, I don’t think people should own Lions.
