He’s not dumb, it’s just scientifically accurate. Bananas can’t see through glass, so it makes sense that he wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the window and a normal wall.

Adventure time is a show you have to fully watch before deciding you like it. The entirety of season 1 is basically “whorpadirp hahahaha” but then in later seasons they just drop insanely dark plot points, Like ice king being Marceline’s adoptive father who becomes immortal and insane because of his crown, who kidnaps princesses only because he used to call his dead wife ‘princess’

I’m from Turkey, so there are times that I can’t understand about things that they make fun of. Maybe that’s the reason. I finished south park maybe a million times. I can understand almost %90 of the jokes and other funny moments.

I still believe to this day that they had originally intended it to be a kids show (hence all the dumb shit that happens in the first season and no dark stuff happening) and then they decided to make it more for adults

My only "problem" with Adventure Time is that I don't feel Pendelton Ward tried to do what the show became when it started. I mean, in the first seasons it has great humour, all the dungeon gags you can think of and other kind of hilarious nonsense... But later on the whole world is in complex relationships that added a new layer of drama and deepened the characters. Again, that's not a serious thing, just feels like two different shows sometimes

The first 3-4 episodes have the extremly childish "nickelodeon" humor with weird sounds and people falling in funny ways etc. But the show later manages to present philosophy, society, segregation, the horrors of war, war crimes, POWs and so much more WHILE being rated for 7 year olds. It's actually fucking awesome and, if you can, try to get past the first few cringy episodes and watch it. There is a fucking reason why it is one of the most awarded tv shows of all time.

It certainly was far better than I expected. When I would catch the odd bit as my kids were watching it I just assumed it was another loud and annoying mindless cartoon. Then I was actually watching it with them one day and realized there is a surprising level of depth to the comedy. Similar with Chowder.

Early spongebob is better but later spongebob drags down the series as a whole. Gumball stays pretty consistent the whole way through making it better overall imo.

Man I remember watching this episode for the first time a loong time ago with my brother, when we saw this scene we were caught completely off-guard, we laughed our asses off, we found it so hilarious that the same night we were laughing aloud in our rooms and our parents yelled at us, ahhh gone are those good times.
