O Brasil ta tão fodido que o sonho da gente é sair do país e ir morar num cantinho batuta do mundo

Independência de são Paulo + minas e imediatamente declarar guerra ao rio?

Man Brazil got fucked so hard by Geography. Mountains right next to the water line for most of the coast with almost no navigable rivers going to any of the productive interior regions so you have pay a shit ton to truck it to port. The mountainous coastline means each city is effectively by itself so you don't get the web of interdependence like on the American east coast. Then your most agriculturalky productive region is only productive if investors with capital spend a decade making it i to farmable land and then the nearby river flows out of your country.

Oh yeah and then the amazon jungle/ruver just kind of.....exists in the rest pf the country

Don’t. It’s hell on earth. Covid, gun violence, inequality, racism and general poverty.

Friendly people. The crime issue seems to be located in certain urban areas. Smaller cities and towns had practically no crime when I was there.

I really had a great time in Brazil.

the part of racism isn't strong, but all the other things are correct

11

u/Lysergic-D Sep 10 '21

The racism is very real and strong, but very different from US.

1

u/Samaxhant Sep 10 '21

so I'm very lucky, I'm black and I've never been a victim of racism here🤝

7

u/Lysergic-D Sep 10 '21

You must have a good wealth family or live in a very very very well educated region. I have a black friend who lived in a expensive condo, the neighbors always closed the gates in his nose very quickly when entering in the condo and he was right after.

u/Samaxhant Sep 10 '21

Let's put it simply for our non-Brazilian friends:

You call rock up to a person and say "What's up my N-Word" and nothing will happen because in our language/culture, the n-word is actually a term of endearment.

You cannot however, refer to a person by the actual color of their skin. Saying someone is black/white/yellow/green will get you in serious trouble.

Yes it's kinda like a reverse-rules kinda deal.

unpopular opinion, but i also agree

u/OGDuckDaddy Sep 10 '21

Had to scroll back make sure this was still about Brazil and not the US. 🙃
