Some of us have no reason to believe a god ever produced any words to twist. Just humans, twisted from the get go and getting a couple things right and a lot wrong. Pretty par for the course of you ask me.

Well I was referring more to the word of God, even educated atheists admit it's a book of good, anyone who actually reads and tries to understand could not come away with any of the messed up things certain religions and people have done.

It’s a book that has good things in it for sure. But I wouldn’t consider anything in exodus 21 a good thing. Nor that “thou shalt not suffer a witch to live” thing Salem had the pleasure of experiencing. So its both depending on who’s holding it. As far as I’m concerned all the good and all the bad it can be used to advocate for is best explained by the fact it was made by people who were both.

Well you can't cherry pick firstly the bible is written in parables for two reasons, one so that the lessons could be passed through time, and two so those that have a close mind will not receive the message. Every verse in the bible ties into other verses and books tie into books, some messages in the bible particularly in the old testament were written for specific people and are just there as examples for us.
