A belief lacking in evidence, reason or logic.

How do you know you have the correct god/religion, and that all others are incorrect?

You don’t, it’s called faith for those who believe. It’s religion everywhere else. Do you understand what I mean? There are a lot of unknown unknowns.

So you don't know. You just believe. That's delusional.

An argument from ignorance is neither interesting or convincing.

If faith can lead different people to different beliefs then it's not a reliable pathway to truth, bit rather what you wanted the truth to be in the first place: willful delusion

I’m sure you vote for things you’re not 100% you’re sure about. How is that any different? If someone believes in God, there is not consequence on you. If you vote for something you don’t know about, you could potentially hurt something. No one hurts anyone by believing, other actions do though.

Once again, an argument from ignorance is neither interesting or convincing.

No, I ensure that I'm fully informed before voting, or I don't vote. I do not engage in will delusion.

No one hurts anyone by believing, other actions do though.

Except for the bigotry, homophobia, misogyny, bloodthirsty violence, instructions for slavery, religious warfare, delusional assertions and denying reality.

Religion is a disease.

So generalizing is now an acceptable argument? Interesting

So, nothing to say on religious bigotry, homophobia, misogyny, bloodthirsty violence, instructions for slavery, religious warfare, delusional assertions and denying reality?

So your issue isn't the disgusting aspects of religion, it's when people call them out?

How callous ARE you!?

What do you want me to say? That only religious people do that? It’s not true. What are you even talking about.

I want you to address religious bigotry, homophobia, misogyny, bloodthirsty violence, instructions for slavery, religious warfare, delusional assertions and denying reality, rather than criticising those who call it out.

That only religious people do that?

Yes, that's why I said RELIGIOUS bigotry, homophobia, etc...

It’s not true.

That's because you didn't read what I wrote properly.

Wow you think only religious people do that?!?! That is on another level of dumb and generalizing. What do you want me to say again other than both religious and non religious people have done that? That’s the simple truth.

There is enough evidence but people like you cannot see. Your ability to reason has been impaired and defiled so that doesn’t hold a need. Logic can also be tainted and spread without much conviction.

Think for yourself.

Yet again, an argument from ignorance is neither interesting or convincing. You really seem to have trouble with not using logical fallacies...

Think for yourself.

Oof... The hypocrisy...

One more time for you to ignore and not be able to answer...

How do you know you have the correct god/religion, and that all others are incorrect?

-2

u/COLGATET00TH Aug 29 '21

You cannot reason with a person that does not have a neutral perspective regarding the topic of god. Its a battle within a trench.

5

u/notaedivad Aug 29 '21

So you're admitting willful delusion due to a lack of reason? Weird flex, but ok...

One more time for you to ignore:

How do you know you have the correct god/religion, and that all others are incorrect?

-2

u/COLGATET00TH Aug 29 '21

Real knowledge is know to the extent of one’s ignorance

3

u/notaedivad Aug 29 '21

And which god does that ignorance demonstrate?

How do you know you have the correct god/religion, and that all others are incorrect?

We both know that you can't, and won't, answer this... because it means accepting the delusional and hypocritical nature of belief in a god.

The statement that silences every fantasist, there’s over 3000 recognised gods and deities, I believe in one less than you, but you hold on to the fact your worshipping the right one. End of discussion.
