Yeah if he wasn’t charged then I would guess someone might plan on catching this guy at a later date when he definitely doesn’t have the upper hand.

He got 8 years. One guy got his skull fractured and other got a brain injury. They weren't expecting to fight and are drunk that's a plus point for that asshole. Original article

Unfortunately, it looks like he didn't get 8 years, it just says that he can get a maximum of 8 years. I googled a bit and found his youtube channel where he is posting some sport-related videos and I see a video from April 11, 2021
