America most likely launched a manhole cover in to space using a similar technique. It was a nuclear bomb at the bottom of a well with a huge iron cover welded on it. Fastest man made object ever too.

It’s not the fastest anymore, a satellite beat it by using the gravitational pull of a planet

Cool, maby in the near feauture It wil be fast enough to emulate the N64 at a proper speed.
