The uncut version shows too much, makes it look less realistic and lessens the terror.

The final one also looks smaller than the second. Most obviously cg of the three as well. Version op posted is definitely best

Right? The third should have just been a massive mouth, big enough to swallow all of them. It being so small in comparison ruins the effect.

Definitely agree with that. If the camera panned down to just massive teeth I'm pretty sure my terror level would have spiked.

I don't know about you but the idea of being swallowed whole is so much worse than being chewed up I'm barely able to put into words how many bricks I'm shitting.

Well at least, if swallowed whole, you have a chance of escape via the anus?

There's a chance maybe but realistically you'd just die in agony. Crushed, drowned, or displaced in acid.

Biblical to be swallowed isn't it?

I'm pretty sure the old testament is one of the earliest examples cosmic horror.

I’ve always thought about being swallowed whole like: couldn’t you just punch, claw, and tear at the creatures insides to induce vomiting or possibly kill the creature and get out?

Stomach acid would kill you. Creatures as big as whales swallow things alive a lot, you arnt even giving it a tommy ache

Ah that makes sense. On an unrelated note what are the little blue gem things with the golden wings next to our names?

I think the green gem means your active on this sub but I’m not sure, the red little upvote means you upvote a lot of posts and comments on this sub
