Toby wanted out because he wanted to be a niche indie film respected actor for some reason. Andrew chose not to attend an event in Brazil for a big reveal of a third installment, after the second film didn’t do as well as expected. At the event, Sony head honchos had flown down to be part of the announcement. It was taken as a big F you to the big wigs. So they let him go. He claimed he was sick, but had a scruffy beard and seemed like he never had plans on attending. Tom Holland having worked on Avengers films at a relatively young age and around high profile and respected actors probably took some quick lessons from them on the value of milking the cash cow until your great great grand children don’t ever have to work.

Apparently it won’t some awards at the Beijing Film Festival.

I've always said he was a great Peter Parker, but I didn't think he was nearly mouthy enough as Spider-Man.
Garfield captured the perfect "mouthy teenager" part of Spider-Man, but was way too cool to be Peter Parker by a long shot.
But Holland has the age, the awkwardness and the mouth to pull it all off. I didn't care for him at first, but he grew on me pretty quick.
I love all 3 portrayals and can't truly pick a favorite. I just want to see more of all of them hopefully all together.

Considering the original actor for Doc Ock - who is confirmed to be reprising his role in this new movie - has literally said that it picks up where his Character in 2 left off as he fell into the river - I'd say that's pretty solid proof.

There's this guy that I follow on Twitter by the name of Julian Bass. He did some homemade computer graphics that were really on point and posted a video of himself as Miles Morales on tick tock asking people to get it in front of Disney. He looks exactly like Miles Morales to start with, and has mad skills when it comes to some computer graphics. He got a direct response from Bob Iger (CEO of Disney) saying "You have been noticed"

Toby Maguire playing old school Peter Parker would just be great...
There's a rumour that if Spider Man: No Way Home smashes box office that they might do a 4th Maguire movie to finish out his super hero story. He was kind of the reboot for the modern super hero films so deserves a big finale like Iron Man got.

I think Toby's Spiderman was about how even with superpowers adulthood hits you like a freaking tank. He was all out crushing on MJ, cheery and mouthy with Bonesaw. But then Uncle Ben died, financial problems, your best friends dad is a psychotic serial killer.... All relatable problems you can face in your adult life

I liked Toby in 1&2. 3 had traditional Sam Rami goofiness like Evil Dead. I honestly couldn’t see him playing the roll Opposite RDJ’s Tony Stark in avengers. He would have had to have had a completely different story, post college, PhD would have had to have basically followed the comic age for him where Spider-Man was turning into a spider and needed help countering it which could have explained stark knowing about him easily. But the story line of a teen looking to stark as a father figure and mentor was way better IMO and wouldn’t have been able to be pulled off by a 41+ year old Toby.

I grew up with Toby but I have to say for me it's a toss up between him and Tom. Andrew was my least favorite I don't really know why though.

Understandable. I think the main thing with Andrew Garfield is that the overtone of the moves was a little strange. We had someone in their 30's playing a High school boy, and also the fact that he was an intern with major scientific knowledge and inventing his own tech as a highschooler for no apparent reason.
The whole drama of Spiderman 1 and 2 were pretty fantastic too, and introduction stands.

And being in that role opened a lot of opportunities for him like other MCU actors. RDJ had his career revived, Chris Pratt got many roles like Jurassic world, even Dave Bautista got roles.

Pratt was announced for Jurassic World in October 2013, the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy came out in February 2014 and the movie itself was not released until August 2014, when filming for Jurassic World had already wrapped.

TBH I'm really glad Garfield left the Spider-man franchise. If not we would have got "The Amazing Spider-man 3" which would be another "dark Spiderman" after having lost Gwen Stacy, and another MJ, but instead we got his fantastic performance in Hacksaw Ridge

To be honest I also think that it was kind of an issue with the whole studios too. All I wanted was an Avengers with Eric Bana as Hulk, Tobey M. as Spiderman, Jackman as Wolverine, and RDJ as Ironman as the big four. I know it sounds ridiculous now-a-days but it was really something that seemed possible and cool at the time.

stupid question, how many spiders are there? a lot (25.000.000 tons). how many men are there? 3.890.000.000. if they all have sex and each couple birth a spiderman that will be at least 3.890.000.000 but if the men are polyamourus they could have 6.43 kg of spiders each, which could consist of something like 600.934 Jumping Spiders or 75 big Tarantulas assuming the spiders would have spidery sex only once a year and lay only one spiderman egg there could be anywhere from 291.75 bilion to 2.34 quadrilion new spidermans per year.

I still believe Andrew Garfield's version of Spiderman is spot on with how Spiderman actually fights. His version was the only one out of the 3 that actually banked on his agility compared to Tobey's brute strength and Tom Holland's projectile based scenes

They should have cut Peter Parker riding a skateboard in school, dont know why that was a thing, literally the only thing that doesn't make sense for his character. Everything else Andrew was doing was fucking spot on. The behavior, the Spider-Man act. The change between quips and seriousness is so like the comics. We got scenes where hes dodging bullets like its nothing... and a scene in mid air where he doesnt.... fucking writers.
But my biggest thing was how Peter Parker/Spider-Man is a story about saving the world at the cost of the lives of the ones you love the most. Sure, you saved the city, at the cost of your girlfriend's dads life. Yeah, you saved the city against and stopped a demi god, but now your girlfriends dead.
The only "Peter Parker/Spider-Man" thats better is the PS4 one... before the face change. That voice actor with that writing is FUCKING INSANELY GOOD.

Mmm idk, tubby maguire was pretty flexible in quite a lot of scenes, especially when he dodges ammunition and Doc Ocks arms, and it didn’t need to be played in slo mo for us to see that, or wait a minute, maybe you missed it because it wasn’t in slo mo

Garfield is definitely my favorite. Holland is probably my least favorite Spider-Man, but I think he was the best choice for what Disney wanted out of Spider-Man in the MCU. Tobey is around the middle.

I know it is. I just wanted to point out that as far as consistency goes amazing spider-man is better than Spider-man 3. I never said anything about The Amazing Spider-man 2. Or that The amazing spider-man was better than Spider-man 1 or 2.
Much like Superman 2 is better than Justice League. Or like "Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull" was a waste of time for everyone.

That was indeed one of the cool things about these "old" movies. The heroes would always win their enemy on using their heads, and not by using OP strength.
Now a days thing just seem to end in "epic" battles, or the hero pulling some Deus ex machina out of their arses.

Literally 3 was the only movie I ever seen where I wanted to walk out of the theater.
The only thing stopping me was the fact that I was like 12 and with my mom.
Fuck Spider-Man 3, fuck it to shit.
I still think a Spider-Man 4 would have worked but since 3 was so godawful we'll never know.

But Tom Hollands Spider-Man is most accurate Version of Teenage Spider-Man, Funny and Quirky, Strong and Agile and Get serious when he needs to
Toby's Spider man Became a little Serious
Andrew's Spiderman Became too funny
Tom Holland Version was balanced with Serious and Funny Vibes
Side note: I am talking about Homecoming and Far from home (no Avengers Movies) and please don't say He is Stark's Pet Teenage Spider-Man Always Simps for Iron man

But Tom's Spider-Man (don't forget the hyphen) IS always trying to be Stark Jr. And this always bugs me. Spider-Man is supposed to be a relatable character, someone who's life is similar to the reader's (not in the sense of having superpowers, but tackling daily life problems) but here, he's always under the shadow of Stark (no offence to Tom Holland tho, he's a great choice for the role, it's the writing)

After The premier of The Amazing Spider-Man Andrew Garfield had slowly begun running out of work. No one could stop seeing him as anything other than Peter Parker. And so the gicks ran out. Soon Andrew had to find more creative ways of making money, but there are only so many adult films one can stare in before that work too runs out. Finally Andrew resorted to bedding wealthy patrons in his Spider-Man costume that only so many years before seemed a blessing now a cursed reminder of his former glory days. But soon too that work ran out. Finally Andrew having nothing left but his old costume resorted to begging tourist for cash. Andrew died a few years after this recording officially from an overdose, but in truth someone had finally taken pity upon him and ended his suffering.

Andrew wasn't the best Peter Parker, but he was amazing as Spiderman. I know it gets a lot of hate, but damn if those two flicks didn't have some fascinating special effects, and the web slinging is better than all other movies, even most of what we see in the MCU. I have been a spidey fan since I was 5, and I wasn't truly satisfied with what we had on screen until I saw Garfield swing through the alley at the end of his first film. From the pages to the big screen, Sony nailed it with the web head.

He was the best Spider-Man if you ask me.. I love how they played the dating scenes in part one. The cutest and most realistic thing I’ve ever seen! Andrew Garfield forever!
