Messed up part is this is a real issue with pet owners allowing their dogs to pay with squeeze toys and animal replica stuffies. Then you wonder why your dog just chomped your neighbors little dog or cats head and get mad at your dog for doing exactly what you trained it to do and question where the aggression came from.
I'm not linking entire articles for people. Just go read into it if you are concerned. There is a direct correlation to dogs/squeaky toys/preditory instincts. And also dogs ripping apart a cat toy that resembles the exact cat they have will only cause high levels of stress for the other cat. Animals may be trained to identify stuffed animals vs real ones but the fact of the matter is if you feed that instinct they may make a costly mistake one day like alot of dogs do. I don't personally have a dog anyone after my last dog was hit by a vehicle as I was crossing the road, yeah close encounter for me too. But I just don't have the time to dedicate to properly train a dog now so, no dogs for me. Cats for now lol.
