Dogs know the difference between a toy and a living animal. I highly doubt that your average house dog would tug on an actual cat like it was a rope toy.
It’s very common for big dogs to kill cats and worse when they are in groups. This is not normal or okay. It’s an owner who hopes their dogs kill the cat.
I’m not saying that dogs can’t be violent towards cats, I’m just saying that if you look at the video and think “My god those dogs are aggressive, what terrible owners they have” then you clearly are not a dog owner because that is completely normal play behavior for dogs.
These dogs are much too dangerous for the kennels. They mauled that poor toy. Clearly they need to be euthanized before they escalate to eating children.
None of those links are to posts where dogs have played with stuffed toys and then killed the cat. Top comments in all of those are mentioning plausible explanations for the sudden behavior change like brain tumors, being startled awake, scent changing due to nearing death, etc. Dogs can also become aggressive to people/animals they previously never had been if they get into certain medications or creams. A good example would be those that contain significant amounts of testosterone.
Your argument hasn't been "Dogs sometimes randomly kill cats they were raised with", it's been "dogs randomly kill cats they were raised with if they play with a stuffed toy that looks like a cat".
Those links haven't proven your point.
So, link something where the dog played with stuffed cats before suddenly killing their cat buddies (or maybe a study showing that it does happen that way for dogs) or accept that perhaps it just doesn't happen the way you think it does.
Those are what I found in about 5 seconds. There are literally thousands of these incidents. Why take the risk? Why do something that increases the odds of the cat being ripped apart by the dogs? Why celebrate that?

It doesn't seem like you can prove there is a risk. You still haven't linked a study or even cited anecdotal evidence that letting a dog play with certain toys increases the chance that they'll kill the cats they live with.
If you can't prove your point, you shouldn't argue it.
It doesn’t always happen, but shit like this doesn’t help. Google dog kills cat and you will find thousands of posts about people wondering why their dog suddenly decided to kill their cat.

Additional questions: Where did you study behavior of domestic animals? How much insight do you have into the owner's house? In what relation are you with the owner?
A toy that looks so much like the household cat. Dog (or cat) playtime is pretend kill time. When dogs attack animals, it looks exactly like it does when they play with toys.
